Clinic I - Introduction & State Board

You’ll start by learning the fundamentals of cutting, styling and chemical restructuring of hair, skin, and nail care, makeup, and the related fundamentals of cosmetology. One-on-one demonstrations, theoretical lectures, and teamwork concentrate on developing skill and accuracy to build confidence in your work. You’ll be introduced to retail merchandising, higher client satisfaction service, and personal development attributes. Furthermore, you’ll to learn necessary employment and career-advancing skills such as successful interviewing and resume writing.

Clinic II - Developing your Dexterity

Learn the latest trends and techniques in hair cutting, styling, coloring, permanent waving and chemical restructuring. What’s style and cuts you should concentrate on? What will maximize your return on investment in the real world? These are the vital questions to your career. Time in Clinic II allows you to become increasingly confident in your professional abilities. You can demonstrate competency in all tasks required for the licensing examination, and possess the theoretical and technical skills you need to pass the written and mock examination required by Nuvani Institute of Cosmetology and the Texas Department of Licensing & Regulations for licensure.

Clinic III - The Apprentice Job

Fine tune your skills as we go in-depth training in client service, time management, self-promotion, goal-setting, merchandising, and floor supervising. Because our Clinic III area is design to be like an upscale salon environment, you’ll get a feel of what it’s like to be in a salon. This will give you a chance to explore your strengths and weakness.
